Welcome to Wild Rosa Belgian Malinois!
The Belgian Malinois, a member of the herding group, is a wonderful, high energy
breed. They are loving with their family and friends, can be distant with strangers, keenly alert and sensitive.Their curiosity
and eagerness to do something and thier high activity level make them a dog not suited to all people. The Malinois is
not a "beginner's dog" nor is it a breed for couch potatos!
Malinois excel in most every venue of dog sport; they are highly athletic and agile
dogs:Agility,schutzhund,herding,flyball,dock-diving, obedience and conformation; SAR,therapy and assistance dogs and wonderful
pets, the belgian malinois is truly a phenomenal dog.
I was bitten by the Belgian bug 26 years ago when I bought my first Belgian (Terv)
in Antwerp. My first Malinois arrived in 1990. We are now a 7 Malinois,1 Chessie and 1 cat family.
Our dogs are housedogs and lifelong friends. We enjoy a wide variety
of activities together, including herding, mushing, hunting, swimming, backpacking, schutzhund, obedience and conformation.
The dogs and I frequently visit nursing homes and entertain at children's parties.
We are located in La Grande Oregon, a small valley at the base of Mt. Emily in Eastern
Oregon.
Occasionally, we have a litter. Our goal in breeding is to maintain/improve
the integrity of this wonderful breed. Our emphasis is good temperament, sound structure, good health, socialization
and lots of heart, making our dogs the complete companion.
Bill and I hope you enjoy touring our virtual home and seeing our wonderful
life companions and good friends.
